Our ideal developer knows HTML, CSS, and Javascript inside and out and wants to develop interactive and ambitious web apps with minimal load times and intuitive functionality. You want to work with people just as smart as you in a small environment where stuff gets done and you're working on something world-changing.

What we'll build together:

Net Minds is a disruptive media startup, changing the world by making it easy for creative people to work together, get paid and create digital products. Through matching of individual personalities and predictive sales of digital products, our person-to-person marketplace makes it easy to form joint ventures: find, negotiate, collaborate, deploy. Everyone shares in the profits and credit.

What you should know:

  • A minimum of 2 years related work experience or equivalent education
  • Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • Knowledge of when to use HTML5 and CSS3, along with device and browser fallbacks
  • Experience with CSS preprocessors, notably LESS
  • Experience with jQuery and writing and modifying plugins
  • An innate eye for beautiful, usable design
  • Experience with Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Working knowledge of Git
  • Writes well-abstracted, scalable and reusable code
  • Ability to test and debug your code and code of others, with an eye on performance
  • Ability to work in high-traffic environments and cloud-deployed applications
  • Experience with code optimization and browser caching
  • Can read, understand and modify code written by others

How you work:

  • Works well in a collaborative environment as well as working well on your own... basically you get stuff done
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to recognize and solve problems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Keeps up on and learning technology/coding trends

Brownie points:

  • Knowledge of mobile/tablet frameworks
  • Experience with client-side Javascript MVC/MVVM patterns, notably Ember.js
  • Knowledge of server-side Javascript or other server-side languages
  • Experience with working with APIs
  • Active in the developer community
