LOOKING FOR: Layout Designer Media Relations

In the Author's Words // Affluenza is a comic novel of business failure and success. It’s the story of a regular guy who has the chance to make a big difference to a lot of people. Paul Lavallier is a business consultant who makes a joke at a party that his dream job is to be a failed CEO. With the hundreds of millions of dollars they pay failed CEOs to walk away, he explains, we've created an inefficient use of capital. He can fail for only $25 million, thus lowering the market value of failure. But when one of the financiers at the party approaches Paul to take the helm of a company his hedge fund is buying, there follows a classic "fish out of water" story of a man who -- when all he has to do is fail as planned and collect $25 million -- suddenly finds himself wanting to make the company win, along with its employees and customers. And in spite of his inexperience and an abundance of Murphy's Law, he actually makes it work.

About the Author // Dunston is the co-author of Nanovation: How a Little Car Can Help the World Think Big and Act Bold, (Thomas Nelson, 2011) with Drs. Kevin & Jackie Freiberg. Over the last twenty five years, he’s worked with leaders in many of the world’s top automotive, high-tech, health care, retail and hospitality companies—helping them link purpose to performance, inspiring game-changing thought.

Net Minds Assessment // Business fables from Who Moved My Cheese to the Monk Who Sold His Ferrari sell briskly when well-packaged and supported by speaking appearances on the lecture circuit. Dunston has deep connections in the speaking industry and a strong presence on stage. The book’s humorous premise resonates with the current business environment, making the book easy to promote and publicize. The draft is written, which means it can be released by mid-2013.

Ideal Partner Qualities and Styles // When not writing, I work in a high-pressure, time-critical creative environment. I want to work with people who are the best in the business (but don't have to say so), who can make decisions and deadlines, who have the social intelligence and emotional maturity to make you want to work with them again.
